The aim of the acne scars treatment with Skinpen is to break down the scars and stimulate the underlying skin to produce new collagenous tissue. Here, the practitioner typically uses a needle with 1.5 mm depth and there will be a need to use numbing creams. In connection with the treatment a cream with disinfecting effect is being used, and the customer takes it home for use between treatments.
Treatment of acne scars is always practised in series of at least 4 treatments with a minimum of one month break between the treatments. Skin will be red and swollen after the treatment- a reaction which will disappear within 1 day. You will be able to see a visible effect after the first treatment- but the maximum effect will first be visible after 4-6 treatments.
Not everyone will be able to have their scars removed completely, but their visibility will be minimized significantly.
